From Dream to Dragon: Wish Kid Mary Grace Meets Eclipse

What started as a hospital daydream has transformed into a breathtaking reality. Wish Kid Mary Grace’s dragon, Eclipse, is a living symbol of her creativity, strength, and hope.

A Wish Born from Imagination

For Wish Kid Mary Grace, dragons were never just mythical creatures — they were symbols of strength, courage, and creativity. During months of hospital stays and treatments, Mary Grace imagined a dragon that would be a reflection of her own journey. She pictured Eclipse with designs that mirrored her scars and surgery marks, blending her personal story with the fantasy worlds she loved in books, stories, and animation.

"Eclipse is my dragon," she says proudly. "She’s the one I pictured when I was recovering from surgery."

Creating Eclipse: A Team Effort

Bringing Eclipse to life was no small task. The talented artists at Billings Productions embraced the challenge with passion, calling it “the best project we have ever done — a bucket list item.” They wanted to create something for someone “so deserving” and continue their mission of love and giving.

Thanks to the partnership with the Schiele Museum, Mary Grace’s vision could take shape not just in sketches, but as a breathtaking, full-scale dragon on display for the world to see.

The Magical Reveal

When the day finally came, Mary Grace walked into the Schiele Museum and was met with the sight of Eclipse — not on paper, but standing before her in vibrant, awe-inspiring detail.

"I can’t believe it… she’s real," Mary Grace whispered. Her mother, overcome with emotion, shared:" This has been what she’s been waiting for after months in treatment and the hospital. I never would have imagined something like this. You have made a little girl’s dream come true."

More Than Just a Dragon

Eclipse is more than a wish granted — she’s a symbol of Mary Grace’s resilience, creativity, and hope. Mary Grace dreams of one day directing her own fantasy film, with Eclipse as the star among other magical characters in “The Return of Dragons.”

For Mary Grace, seeing Eclipse in person was like watching an idea transform into a physical reality. For Billings Productions, it was a chance to create art with meaning — something that will inspire Mary Grace and everyone who hears her story.
