How a simple golf cart brought big happiness to a 9-year-old living with epilepsy.

A Boy and His Chickens
Abel is a bright and caring 9-year-old who has a big heart—and an even bigger love for his chickens. Every day, Abel tends to his flock with dedication, feeding them, giving them fresh water, and collecting their eggs. He rides out to the coop in his yard using a golf cart, which quickly became more than just a tool—it was part of his daily joy and sense of independence.
Living with Epilepsy
Abel’s life with epilepsy limits some of the things many kids take for granted. He can’t always visit friends at their homes or join in on typical playdates. But where others might feel limited, Abel finds joy in his routines—especially spending time outdoors, caring for his animals, fishing with his dad, or going on the occasional family camping trip.
A Wish from the Heart
Abel’s golf cart had seen better days. A relic from the 1980s, it had been rebuilt more than once and eventually stopped working altogether. Without it, Abel couldn’t easily care for his chickens—the very thing that brought him the most happiness. So when Abel was granted a wish, his answer was simple: a new golf cart to help him return to his routine and do what he loves most.
Wish Granted
Thanks to supporters like you, Abel’s wish was granted—and the transformation was immediate. With his new golf cart, Abel is back to doing what he loves: caring for his chickens, exploring the yard, and enjoying his freedom again. It’s more than a ride; it’s a symbol of independence, purpose, and pure joy.
“Our family can’t begin to thank the Make-A-Wish foundation enough. Our family is so blessed for this opportunity. This will bring Abel so much joy! Thank you again!”— Abel’s mom
