A Journey Back to the Wild: Wyatt’s Wish for Freedom and Adventure

Thanks to a life-changing wish, Wyatt is back in the great outdoors, exploring, fishing, and

hunting with the freedom to chase his passions once again.

Meet Wyatt: A Boy with an Endless Passion for Adventure

Wyatt, a 15-year-old with a love for the outdoors, has always found his joy in nature’s

beauty—from fishing and hunting to exploring new trails. Despite facing the challenges of

Friedreich’s Ataxia, his adventurous spirit remains unshaken, and his dream of returning to

the wild all came true.

Living with Friedreich’s Ataxia

Wyatt’s life isn’t always as carefree as it seems. He lives with Friedreich’s Ataxia, a rare

condition that affects his balance and muscle control. Over time, it’s made walking

difficult, and today, Wyatt uses a wheelchair to get around. Though this has made some

things harder, it’s never stopped his spirit.

The hardest part? Not being able to get outside the way he used to. The trails he used to

explore, the lakes he loved to fish in, and the hunting spots that meant so much to him felt

out of reach—until Wyatt made a simple wish.

A Simple Wish

When Wyatt was granted a wish through Make-A-Wish, he didn’t hesitate. He knew exactly

what he wanted: a tank chair.

The tank chair, a heavy-duty off-road wheelchair with treads, would let Wyatt get back to

doing what he loves most. He wanted to explore the trails, get back to hunting, and fishing.

With this chair, Wyatt could feel the thrill of the outdoors once again—on his terms.

Wish Granted

Thanks to the generosity of Make-A-Wish supporters, Wyatt’s wish was granted. The team

worked to find the perfect chair for him—one that could handle the roughest terrain, navigate through muddy paths, and climb over rocky hills. With all the features Wyatt

needed, the tank chair became more than just a tool—it became his gateway to freedom.

The first time Wyatt used his new tank chair, he was in awe. He powered up steep trails and

zoomed over the rocks. He was outside again, doing what he loved the most.

Back to the Outdoors

Today, Wyatt spends his days exploring new trails, fishing, and even playing basketball. His

tank chair has given him a new sense of freedom, and with it, he’s able to experience the

wild world he loves so much—without limits.

For Wyatt, the tank chair isn’t just a wheelchair; it’s a symbol of independence, adventure,

and pure joy. Thanks to his wish, he’s back to doing what he loves, proving that with a little

help, nothing can hold him back.
